Analyst, Mobility Services Markus

Student Assistant

Lennard Markus joined the Agora Verkehrswende team in April 2022. As a consultant for mobility services, he focuses primarily on public mobility. He is interested in the socio-technical conditions that have shaped the transport system, as well as the social prerequisites and dispositions for action. His particular focus is on inequalities in the transport system and their varying effects on individual perceptions and behavior in relation to mobility.

He previously earned a bachelor's degree in automotive engineering from the Technical University of Ilmenau and then supported the Berlin Agency for Electric Mobility (eMO) in the electrification of commercial transport. He is currently studying sociology of technology at the Technical University of Berlin, where he is exploring integrated transport planning and the opportunities and risks of new mobility services. In his thesis, he examines the transport transition as a communicative-constructive cultural process.
