Short interview

What project are you working on – and what goals do you want to achieve with it?

At present, I am working on a project proposal centered on a policy paper titled "Eco-Mobility: Accelerating Africa’s Sustainable Transport Evolution." This initiative is driven by several key factors that underscore the urgent need for sustainable transport solutions across Africa, including the current initiatives of the African Union, strategic importance, economic growth and resilience, environmental responsibility, and alignment with regional and global frameworks.

What is the most important take-away you gained during the fellowship for your work?

Through my fellowship experience, I have gained valuable insights into developing a comprehensive policy that addresses the necessity of a sustainable transport system. I have learned about the transformative potential of electric vehicles (EVs) and modernized, integrated transport systems. The incorporation of eco-mobility represents a future-oriented approach to urban development in Africa, and I am excited to contribute to this vital evolution.

Investing in sustainable transport and integrated eco-mobility solutions is not just a necessity, but an opportunity for Africa to pave the way for a future defined by resilience, accessibility, and environmental stewardship. Together, we can create a cleaner, safer, and more connected continent that meets the needs of today while empowering future generations."
